Family Support – How to Access the Programme

This service is completely free for all.

KSAF’s Family Outreach Programme offers practical and emotional support to families across Kent who are struggling with school attendance, routines, wellbeing, behaviour, or challenges at home.

We want accessing support to be simple, safe, and stress-free.

To make sure we have the right information to help your child, all referrals to the programme must be completed by your child’s school or another professional who is currently supporting your family.

This helps us:

  • Understand your child’s attendance picture

  • Ensure school is part of the support plan

  • Keep information accurate, safe, and consistent

  • Work together as a team around your child

You cannot self-refer directly into the programme - but don’t worry, it’s a very simple process.

✔ Who can make a referral?

  • Schools (attendance teams, DSLs, pastoral staff, SENCOs)

  • Social workers / Early Help workers

  • Family Liaison Officers

  • Youth workers

  • GPs or health professionals

  • Other recognised agencies

If you’re unsure whether you can refer, email outreach@ksaf.uk.
